Chapter 5 - Enter Luna! by Kingdark

Note1: I got addicted to Air soft, so you'll notice a bit of influence in this chapter. I can't remember ANY hp fiction that had Harry doing a hobby. And since air soft isn't really electronics, either on air pressure or batteries it should be able to work at magical locations.

Note:2 there is a five hundred words AN at the bottom of the story.

Last time:

The true identity of Max Taylor is revealed. So are two new villains to balance the various powers that Harry has.

* "From the moment you were considered worthy -That means from the moment the eggs began to hatch- the magical reservoirs that Zeus and Cronus designed will begun to create their new bodies. These bodies will be newly born infants and will need time to grow up. I estimate that the creation of such magical constructs would take time. So I estimate three years at a minimum. I will know when they are 'born' so don't worry of being caught unaware. Once they are born they will need at least twenty years to gain control over their bodies." *

* STORY STARTS *

Harry was oddly thoughtful. "In the story you told me, you never mentioned the dino's before."

"Ah yes." Max agreed. "I suppose I can see how you would think that. Even though both men are no longer the honorable men they once were. And even today they still have their own code of honor but don't count on that to save you. They overpower you still, they have experience way beyond of what you can possibly have and their knowledge is extremely extensive from decades of studying and researching old magic even at those times. At the time where they were still friendly with each other they knew that an heir wouldn't be coming immediately. Only someone that was worthy would be allowed to get onto the throne. So they kept the thought in mind that any heir would be relatively weak compared to them. So they created these guards from fossils found in the ground as the heirs personal guard." Max said to Harry.

"Not only are these creatures Extremely intelligent, they work in packs to take down prey ten times their size. Every piece of them can be used as a weapon. Their skull has tiny little needles that poisons their prey which they are immune to. Their teeth can rip and shred any prey they take down. Their claws can do huge amounts of damage. The tail of them is reinforced with muscles and tough skin so that if they used their tails to knock you down they can than kill you before you can get back up. Finally in combination with heir feet which have also large sharp claws they can jump high and far with extra muscle power. To boot. In short... These are very scary to have as your enemy... And that was without them magically changing them. Their skin was changed so that it became nearly as resistant to magic as giants and dragons." Max finished smugly.

Harry glared at Max. "But even with all of that I still don't stand a change against their knowledge, experience and raw power."

"The spells they knew are unknown to us. But its also backwards. Any modern spell of today will be unknown to them as well!" Max countered calmly.

"But they can fix that easily!" Harry argued back. "They simply have to open a book and study the new spells and that's that!" He insisted.

"And even with the three hundred witches and wizards at my command, my hunters and minions I still don't stand much a change against them. Seeing that my wizards and witches still have to start their education, or only have a single year behind them."

Max blinked in confusion. "What the heck are you talking about?" Max demanded.

Harry observed the man that had told him so many things. "Who are you truly loyal to? Who is your first and most important master?" Harry asked the man.

The answer was short, to the point and immediate.

'You are.' Max answered simply.

"Nevertheless, I can see where you are coming from." Max continued. "So let me prove my point to you and make it clear once and for all who my loyalty belongs too." Max told Harry seriously.

"I Max Taylor, formerly known as Gaia swear on my magic and my life that my loyalty belongs to one Harry James Potter for as he lives. I swear that I do not have any other masters and that only Harry James Potter may command me. I swear to never reveal his secrets, to always keep him safe, happy and healthy. I swear I will crush his enemies, punish traitors and fulfill any command that My Lord may give me. Everything I am, will be and have been is for Harry James Potter, future King Emperor to command now and forever. I swear this oath on my own free will and can only be released on the word of my Lord and Master Harry James Potter. Let magic confirm my oath or strike me down as punishment."

As soon as Max finished, magic began to swirl around him. A magical link formed between Harry and Max that was a crude form of a leash. Harry would know instantly if Max was considering to disobey his orders to to do something against his good will. The magic wasn't finished with Max though.

Magical chains appeared around his legs, feet, arms and hands, than changed into tattoo's. On top of that there were several tattoo's that represented the symbol of the house of Potter. It made it entirely clear who Max belonged too. And that the link couldn't be severed unless Harry allowed it.

Harry relaxed immediately and told Max everything. Loki adding his own opinion on the matter whenever needed. By the end of it Max was staring at Harry like it was the first time he was truly seeing. "You are the one that was meant to awaken the eggs. Now I am sure of it. You already have the beginning of an army. And I know just the thing to train them too. And you can practice it at Hogwarts too."

Now Harry was curious. "There is a sport called air soft. The sport is played with replica's of real guns and rifles. The difference is that they play it with BB-balls and air pressure, either that or batteries." Max explained.

"You told me that you have three hundred loyal witches and wizards at your command. Your own year, the previous year and the next year. That means you have plenty of people to do this sport with. It will practice your ability to command and will teach your army to work in a group and learn to trust each other." Max continued.

Harry considered that for several moments before he nodded. "Alright. But I want you to get all the material I would need. In fact... See if there isn't a way to hire you as a teacher for these kinds of sports. Maybe as my personal instructor first and eventually as a general professor."

Max was nodding as Harry was talking. "That's a good idea. I think that's a better idea than hiding as your best friend. And I can easily change my appearance to make sure they don't make the connection with the one they want to capture... Hiding in plain sight. One of the best tactics you can do if they underestimate you." Max told Harry.

"So do you have all your supplies now?" He asked Harry again.

Harry glared at Max again. "I already told you this. I got everything except my wand and we got that earlier." He reminded Max calmly. "I got plenty of every bit of supplies I could possibly need and than some. You just make sure that we got all the equipment we need to do this sport and others. Which reminds me of something... I know that I have a lot of money- at least that is what a professor told me. I haven't been able to visit the bank yet. But do you have access to a money source? You said several times that you don't need to work, but that can mean you are simply well off and not truly wealthy."

Max smirked at the question. "I have full access to the treasury of the combined kingdom empire at the top of its power. Both Zeus and Cronus made sure there was a generous amount of emergency gold in case something happened. Since than I have traveled the world and have tracked down every sunken galleon ship that transported gold from the old colonies and removed every valuable of them."

Harry couldn't quit imagine how much money that was.

That was when Max caught up with what Harry had said. "Wait a minute did you just say that you haven't visited your vaults yet?" He asked the boy carefully.

Harry shook his head. "No I haven't."

"Than it is a good thing that you are already connected to your vault now is it? Your magical signature is all a shopkeeper needs to pay for your purchases. Like a thumbprint."

"Right." Harry agreed.

"I'm going to visit my vault now. Than I'm going back home until it is September the first in two days. You simply make sure you got the supplies by than. And if not that you have at least enough for my year. See if it is possible to mix it with magic in some way too." Harry finished. Harry gave a nod to Max than left the store.

Max waited until he saw Harry vanish behind the corner that separated diagon Alley and shadow Alley and than answered the annoying sound at the back of his mind.

"What do you want? You SAW that I was busy."

Max snorted at whatever the answer was. "And you could've done better?"

Whatever the unknown voice said it was obvious that Max didn't like it because his face changed into an angry sneer.

"What did you expect me to do? The kid's sharp he would've caught any loopholes in the oath I made."

Another pause.

"I know that." Max growled.

A very long pause this time.

"I know what my orders are. I shall complete them within the parameters of the oath I swore. And before you say anything, if I hadn't sworn the oath the kid would never have trusted me. So it was either doing the oath and doing nothing and loose his TRUST. And I don't think you would want that now do you?"

Max snorted at the answer and than disconnected the connection. "I wish you hadn't found this story little Harry because now you are playing a game beyond your understanding... I will help you to my best abilities... I only hope you are ready by that time..."

'With Harry'

Harry was making his way towards the bank. The oath Max had sworn guaranteed his loyalty so he felt that surveillance wasn't needed. Although there was this annoying little voice at the back of his mind that was telling him he was arrogant in thinking that. Harry ignored the voice though. The oath was loophole free. At least as far as he could see it. He would have to think about it and see if there were any loopholes that Max could exploit if he wanted too... The air soft idea was very good. It would establish Harry as the leader and it would make sure they could obey his orders.

Harry was sure that a special field or some such could be created. And if not Harry could certainly try it himself.

Harry arrived at the bank and smoothly entered it. Deciding to try his scan spell again, and this time try to limit the information Harry tried again.

Harry focused his magic. Telling it that he wanted to know some basic information about the creature he was looking at. After a moment he felt the 'ping' that he had gathered sufficient magic and after a moment of concentration he focused the spell into being.

*SCAN*

The wealth of information that assaulted him this time was not nearly as overwhelming as the last time. Just in case, Loki was ready to help him keep his balance. It wouldn't do to pass out in the middle of the bank.

Race: goblin / Nox

Name: Bonesmasher

Age: 54

Health: In excellent health and loyal to the bank and his race.

Ability: Can create some of the strongest wards known to the magical human. Goblins can communicate with dangerous animals such as dragons and the most dangerous snakes and scorpions in the world, depending which bank it was and where.

Harry walked towards the goblin that he had scanned earlier. He waited until the creature noted him. After several moments it still was working on its assignment and was completely ignoring him.

'ahum' Harry tried.

Nothing

"Excuse me."

Still no response.

"Would you please stop for a moment to help me with my bank business please?"

A short pause that was barely noticeable before the goblin returned to his task.

Harry's patience was at an end. "If you don't look up you ugly little bastard than I will remove every vault I have at my disposal. I'm told that the Potter family is quit wealthy and that it wouldn't be well for the bank if I did this." Now THAT got a reaction.

"I'm sorry sir, but I didn't see you there. I'm closed but I suppose I can make an exception for you... Wizard." The creature finished.

Harry flushed and looked around for a sign that it was closed. If there was a sign he would apologize. But there wasn't.

"There isn't a single sign to point out that you were closed. Sir." Harry sneered. He just managed to get his anger in check.

The goblin blinked than glanced at a point only he could see and than flushed in embarrassment. "I eh." The goblin stammered. It took a deep breath and tried again.

"I apologize sir. I thought that I had the ward up and running that would activate the 'closed' sign. I will help you as an apology."

"That's alright." Harry allowed. "Anyone can make a mistake, but why did you ignore me earlier?"

The goblin sighed. "If the ward is activated no wizard will enter the line. Since I thought my line was closed I could ignore all the sounds except my work and the emergency bells."

"I wish to visit my vaults and review all possible activity since my parents died ten years ago."

The goblin blinked several times. "You haven't received any at all? It should've been sent to your muggle relatives until you became seven years of age. Than they should've taught you how to manage money. Are you telling me that this didn't happen?"

"It did not happen." Harry agreed. "My relatives never cared about that."

"And I know for a fact that they never knew about this or Loki would've discovered it. And having a great amount of money available is something he should've forwarded." Harry told himself.

"I see." the goblin said. "Excuse me for a moment."

The goblin hopped from his seat and entered into a seemingly solid wall. After a moment a loud bell appeared into the air out of thin air.

'ALL CUSTOMERS THAT ARE IN THE LOBBY HALL ARE REQUIRED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY'

'ALL CUSTOMERS THAT DO NOT OBEY THIS ORDER ARE TRESPASSING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AND WILL BE CONSIDERED BURGRLARS OR THIEVES.'

Harry hesitated for a moment before he too made to leave the bank.

"Mr Potter. You are an exception."

Harry blinked. "I will not be considered a burglar or thief if I remain here?"

The goblin, while amused shook its head. "No. You are quit safe. It doesn't usually happen though that an account of one of our wealthiest customers has been compromised. The bank is closed until this matter has been solved."

Harry frowned. "Excuse me, I don't know much about business tactics but is that a smart strategy to prevent customers from getting their money?"

The goblin smirked. "Ah, but any wizard can pay with their magical signature. Most witches and wizards prefer to pay immediately in gold. Because when you pay with a signature it is only payed by the next working day. Every shop has to accept it though."

Harry shrugged. It didn't matter much to him. He was not going to bring a lot of gold with him. Muggle money yes, but gold? No way. That reminded him.

"Is there a way that I can buy things in the muggle world that pays them from my account?"

The goblin nodded. "No problem. I need a drop of your blood and your signature. When the muggle shopkeeper use this card it will alert our administration department of your purchases."

Harry gave a nod and waited for a moment. "What am I supposed to do now than?"

The goblin observed Harry for a moment. "You can leave the bank and go to school in two days. We will conduct our investigation. What do you wish to do with the guilty party?"

"They either have to pay me back every golden coin that they owe me. I don't care if they have to sell everything they have. If they don't want to do this, I want the guilty party, their family as my personal family and whatever future generations they produce until they have paid me back... I would prefer the last option though. And I would want them as long as possible..."

The goblin smirked as well. "We'll make sure that they choose the last option. May they keep their home and such if the guilty party is found?"

Harry considered that for several long moments. Having them with him would make it harder to travel, but more difficult to get to him. It would also give him access to knowledgeable adults. And their spawn.

"Have them sell everything they own except the cloths on their back and have them send to me. Let me know though because I want to decide when they come to me. And to make it clear: I want whoever this thief is punished, humiliated but otherwise unharmed."

The goblin simply nodded. He could appreciate a good revenge. "I suspect that there are a lot of people out there... Is there any way for me to go around them? I'm sure that a smart race like yourselves have dozens of tunnels that lead to various locations in an emergency."

Ten minutes later Harry was standing at the edge of diagon Alley not entirely sure how he got there. There was a letter in his pocket that explained what happened.

/letter/

"I agreed to have my memory of how I got here suppressed. Nothing harmful happened to me. I came from the bank where we took a tunnel that ends up where I (Harry Potter) am now."

Harry recognized his writing and Loki confirmed that they had only removed a copy of his memory. For now Harry would leave the ¨tunnel alone. It wouldn't do to insult the trust of the goblins. 'Note to self: research the history of the goblins and their customs.

'noted.' Loki agreed.

Harry left Diagon Alley and transported himself back home. He wanted to create as many basic minions as possible to create his secret underground base below the park of Surrey. There they could begin to gather the resources where humans couldn't go to. Deep below any water, oil and gas lines. Although here and there was a leech added. It wouldn't be much but over time it would grow to a decent amount for personal use.

Privet Drive / A shade spot

Harry appeared out of thin air and walked straight to his 'home.' The Dursleys hadn't been mean to him since he had taken them over. Personally, Harry considered them as nothing. Dudley was the only exception. Both adults would obey his every order he gave them. Even if it mean cutting of a finger and smile while doing it as punishment. But that would be too far. The humiliation they were going through was much better in his opinion.

While he was walking home he reconsidered the parchment issue.

'note to self: shift the parchment into paper, write whatever homework I have on that, and shift it back afterwards. '

'noted' Loki agreed again. He would remind Harry if it was needed. Harry had no interesting to learn how to use an ancient quill. While it would be nice for formal events it was useless for daily use. Harry would do his homework on paper and with a pen and shift them back to parchment. In class he would simply put a notice me not charm on the pen so that the teachers would ignore it. And if they made a big deal of it, Harry would ignore it. He could go to a different school if they wanted to remain stuck in the middle ages. And if it came down to it, he would use personal teachers too.

Harry couldn't help but try to figure out the reason why they would keep using such ineffective means of writing tools. There wasn't any magical aspect to it either. It was normal non magical ink and normal standard quills. After several moments of trying to figure it out on his own, he reviewed Minerva's memories and the answer was provided fairly quickly.

Tradition. That was the freaking reason. The magical community only used parchment and quills because it was tradition. While Harry respected cultures and their tradition, this particular aspect wasn't one of them. Upgrading to paper and pens would make life easier by much.

However illogical it sounded, the Hogwarts rush was usually a few days before school would start.

"I have an idea master." Loki offered. He had switched to mental speech again. Because even magical animals didn't talk. With the exceptions of near human tribes / races such as the house elves and the centaurs among others.

"Since the rush still has to come, you may want to consider opening up a shop. Unlike the muggle world, here you can simply start your business. I know there is a building for sale because its in a fairly bad state. But with the minions we have at our disposal it should be repaired in a few hours. During that time we can purchase paper from stores around the country. We can sell paper and pens to you. If you make enough noise people will imitate you. And that is only halve of my scheme. I can modify simple electronic devices so they work at Hogwarts. If you can begin to sell those you'll have a monopoly on that market for generations. Other witches and wizards have been trying to get something similar but haven't figured it out yet."

'Do it.' Harry ordered. It would be amusing if nothing else. And it would at least take some heat of of him. Nobody needed to know that HE was the true owner.

"Okay, let's recap what happened in the last few days." Harry told himself.

"First I discover that I am somehow the heir of an ancient empire and that I am supposed to take over the world under my banner... Why do I have the feeling that I will be the villain that that?" Harry shook his head and tried to redirect his thoughts to continue his muse.

"After discovering that I am supposed to take over the world I also get freaking DINOSAURS as my personal guard... If anyone annoys me I can tell my pet T-rex to eat him or her..." Harry shook his head again. A T-rex could swallow a human whole. Being digested alive was not something he wanted to consider.

"Than I go to the bank and somehow got it closed down because of irregularities of my bank accounts." Harry continued silently.

"That brings me to the latest event in to the chaos that is my life. The store that I somehow have been convinced to open. Even if most people don't know about that. The store will sell all kinds of good stuff that half bloods and muggleborn will love. And of course that brings me to the fact I got three hundred childeren under my command... Why do I fee that this makes me a bad guy when you take all of that together?" Harry asked himself.

The raptors on their own were frighteningly enough. But add the biggest bad ass hunter of history that is a T-rex and you were either shitting and pissing yourself out of fear or running for your lives. And that wasn't considering the fact that the stuff his secret double would sell was a lot cheaper than the muggle world. A a bit more advanced too.

It paid off to have spies throughout the beginning network that was beginning to deploy. The internet it was called. A gigantic library where you could find anything you wanted too. But back to the toys he would sell. Harry of course would have more advanced toys hidden to look the same as the others. The computers would be able to communicate with each other in a network. Like a private network. It could either be called a mlan or magical local network or simply leave the magical and simply call it a LAN network. Perhaps that was the easiest. It would also make it safe to mention when they mentioned it out of school.

The issue was decided than. The computers -if they sold right- which they would because he controlled three hundred possible buyers. So he would at least have his own and the next year to communicate with. Maybe he could build a modified satellite to make connection with other magical computers. It was impossible for wizards and witches to reverse engineer the devices. It was because of the nanites. They would give one aggressive warning. If the warning was ignored, the device would explode violently. And just to prevent accidents every device was equipped with basic sensors to make sure that no child would tamper with it -in ignorance- and get hurt because of it. If that was the case, the device would simply shift itself into a receipt so that the parent -or the guardian- could receive a new one.

It was all very well thought out. At least that's what Harry thought. Since it was only a few days before Hogwarts, there wasn't much time to set the store up. Harry would purchase several large adds in the local newspapers to advertise this new shop.

There was the legal side to consider though. Because of his fame, it would be very difficult for people to pass laws that would prevent him from selling. In fact he could begin selling all over the world after a while.

The next few days were fairly boring. Any devices that were sold Harry already owned. An improved elite versions too. The stuff for the air soft idea that max had mentioned was well on its way as well. Harry knew one thing for sure: it would be one hell of a seven years if this was any example.

The last thing worth mentioning is that Harry gained several new servants. The Weasley family had been stealing money from him. Harry didn't quit understand their reasoning and he was fairly sure that it were the adults that were at fault. From what he got from the memories of one Ginerva Weasley she didn't know anything about it. Neither did her older brother Ron Weasley or their twin brothers Fred and George. They couldn't get a straight answer from Percy. That guy loved to mess with their heads.

Nobody suspected him for several viscous pranks that punished several bullies severely since Fred and George attended. So it was exactly like Harry suspected. The adults had been stealing from him, but because of his earlier orders it had resulted in a whole family as his servants. It was an unexpected turn of events but Harry could adapt to that.

Ginerva Weasley, or Ginny as she preferred to be called wasn't allowed to attend Hogwarts because of her age. But her parents had been forced to sell everything they owned with the exception of their clothes. And because Ginny was fairly smart and strong the headmaster had allowed for a few tests to figure out if she was smart enough to attend.

While smart enough to attend, her body hadn't matured enough to use a wand as a focus. While this was contradicted

with his own ability to do spells without a wand it came all down to belief. Ginny believed she needed a wand, and her body and magic had adapted to that.

The Weasley family wasn't the only one that had stolen from him though. There was the Lovegood family as well. But the situation with them was fairly confusing. His parents had authorized the money to provide from them. They were a minor branch of the Potters or some such from decades if not centuries ago. The familial connection was too long ago to matter. Luna was tested and passed every test they gave her with flying colors.

By the end of it, Harry was unsure if these Lovegood's were servants of his or not.

First of September

Harry was at the train station right on time. The trains that were leaving and entering was something he loved to watch. A quirk of him he was sure.

The time for the Hogwarts Express to leave was finally there. Harry found an empty seat easily and was now ready to begin his year at Hogwarts.

The train had barely left the station when someone knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal...

/End chapter/

I had not wanted to cut it off here but I haven't figured out who I should reveal. Ron? But than Harry would end up with the lions.

Luna? The same but with the ravens.

Susan? Again the same but with the puffs. And finally there is Draco. I have no intention to create a 'new' house of Hogwarts because as far as I am concerned they can't have been the only ones to be special that they could belong to each house perfectly.

The way I see it: Harry likes to gather knowledge but doesn't do it for the sake of knowledge. Every piece is valuable but he can count on Loki and his other sources for this. So while I like Ravenclaw that house is out. Then there is Hufflepuff. While Harry can be loyal to those he considers his friends I don't see him being loyal simply to be loyal. Harry can work hard if it is needed but only does that when the situation calls for it. This confirms that Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff isn't for my Harry.

Finally there is Gryffindor. The house of the brave. Gryffindors generally charge in without thinking. That is canon people. Just like the flying incident and the incident where Draco challenges Harry for a duel. If harry had been smart he would've researched it. But his pride gets in the way. He didn't even consider that Draco would never show up.

That leaves Slytherin. The house of the sly and ambitious. Personally I think that this house is better for my Harry's personality. Think about it. Harry already has three hundred witches and wizards under his command. Including a head of house: Minerva McGonagall. If it comes down to it, I don't see him hesitating for a single moment to take control of a guy like Snape. Or even all the head of houses.

Finally there is one last issue I want to mention. I'm sure that many of you (or the few that now have this on their favo list) thought that I would bash the Weasleys eh? While I see Ron wanting to earn money I think he would value a good friend more. It doesn't really compare with canon but Ron in canon was fairly loyal to him I think. If you don't read too much into it.

If anyone has plot ideas than let them come because I have finally exhausted every bit of note I have left. I only have two more issue's to work in and that is something I am unable to do because I don't know how to do without rushing it.

The idea I -MIGHT- use is mentioned below. This is a BORROWED IDEA. It is completely AU and is not comparable to that story.

Source: harem of honeys

borrowed idea: a number of trunks linked to each other with secure floo systems.

Bank Goblins respect EARNED money more than inherited money

Source: mass effect 1 and 2

A spectre is an elite operative that has access to elite weapons and huge amounts of resources. He is essentially above the law. I want to see if I can insert this idea / form somehow in the story. I might even mention more aspects of mass effect instead of a certain other show I've been dropping hints over.

Anyone that figures out what show this other show is earns a cookie.

Hope you enjoyed the story.
